Rain Vessel in La Jolla OFG

This OFG (Ocean Friendly Garden) is being super ocean friendly by saving and re-using their rainwater with a Rain Vessel.

The native garden was designed by Jeremy Sison (owner of Artemisia Landscape Architecture and Rain Vessels designer) and installed through Surfrider's Ocean Friendly Gardens Program.

OFG's reduce runoff pollution and conserve water use by using the principals of CPR:  Conservation: use native plants that require little supplemental irrigation and no chemical fertilizers or pesticides; Permeability: create soils that take in water and hold it by mulching; Retention: retain rainwater on-site by building bio-swales and using rain barrels.
